Rosie, Marchioness of Headfort

Rosie, Marchioness of Headfort
Here we see Rosie, Marchioness of Headfort, Director of Motor Drivers of the Women's Legion and Commandant of the Women's Legion Household Service Section. Before her marriage she was Rosie Boote, a popular chorus girl on the London Stage, who married Geoffrey Taylour, 4th Marquess of Headfort in 1901, causing quite a scandal at the time. By 1915, when the Legion had been formed, she had clearly been accepted by society.
