Ludendorff Bridge, 1945
Here we see the Ludendorff Bridge at Remagen some time between its capture by US troops on 7 March 1945 and its collapse on 17 March. Note the Sherman tank visible in the centre-bottom of the picture and the ramp being used to get vehicles onto the railway line.
