Liberated French POWs at Brelingen

Liberated French POWs at Brelingen
Here we see the 6th Airborne Division marching through Brelingen, watched by a group of liberated Frenchmen, probably French POWs who had been in captivity since 1940 (judging by their military headgear). The paratroops were coming towards the end of a sixteen mile advance from Neustadt to Bissendorf near Hanover on 10 April 1945.
