Illustration of Lexington Class Battlecruisers
Here we see a painting from 1918 by F. Muller of the final configuration of the Lexington Class Battlecruisers,
although it took another year before work on any of them began, and they were all cancelled in 1921. Of the six original ordered only the two most advanced, Saratoga and Lexington were completed, but as aircraft carriers.
