M3 Grant Lee south of Mandalay
Here we see a Medium Tank M3 Grant/ Lee clearing a village somewhere to the south of Mandalay during the British reconquest of Burma. These tanks were outclassed in Europe, but the Japanese kept their best armour for a possible defence of the Home Islands, so the older Allied tanks were still valuable in the East.
