Jeep carried under Handley Page Halifax
Here we see a Jeep being carried under a Handley Page Halifax, ready to be air-dropped to support British Airborne operations at some point during 1945 (probably the crossing of the Rhine). The jeep is partly contained within the bomb bay, and has shock absorbers below the wheels to reduce the shock of the parachute landing. This jeep is being inspected by General Brereton, the American commander of the First Allied Airborne Army.
