Hawker Hurricane IIC PZ865, 'the last of the thousands'
Here we see the last of the 14,533 Hurricanes produced, Hawker Hurricane IIC PZ865, 'The Last of the Many'. This picture shows the aircraft just after it had been completed, with a list of the Hurricane's battle honours and the message 'To the last of the Thousands'. This aircraft was used as a trials aircraft by Hawker, and has survived to be in the modern Battle of Britain Flight.
