HMS Avenger and HMS Biter
Here we see the escort carriers HMS Avenger (left) and HMS Biter (right), probably in rough seas on their way to North Africa before Operation Torch. The Avenger was lost off North Africa in November 1942, while the Biter survived the war and was given to the French .
