HMS Albacore after hitting a mine
Here we see the modified 30-knotter HMS Albacore after she was damaged by a mine on 9 March 1917. Her bows have blown off right the way back to the bridge platform, most of which has also disappeared, leaving only the chartroom structure it stood on.
