Side view of minesweeper HMCS Bayfield
Here we see a side view of the Bangor class minesweeper HMCS Bayfield. The first Bangor class ships were diesel powered, but there weren't enough suitable engines, so a lengthened 180ft long version was produced, powered by vertical triple expansion engines. The Bayfield was one of these longer ships, and was built in Canada under a British order before being transfered to the Royal Canadian Navy.
