Heinkel's Warnemunde factory after a raid, April 1944
Here we see the damage caused to Heinkel's factory at Warnemunde (part of the city of Rostock on the Baltic) by a US 8th Air Force raid of 9 April 1944. As can be seen, most of the bombs have hit the open ground between the main buildings, but damage can be seen on most of the buildings, and small holes in the roof probably indicate more damage within.
