Heinkel He 111: Ammo drums for MG 15
Picture showing the MG 15 ammo drums carried on a He 111. This aircraft was shot down over Scotland on 28 October 1939. Despite that some of the ammo drums remained on their rack. Note the handle across the top of each drum, designed to make it easier for the aircrew to change drums.
