Hamilcar Glider with nose open
This picture shows a Universal Carrier driving out of a Hamilcar Glider. The Hamilcar was designed to maximise the amount of internal space - thus the high wings with the cockpit on top. Here we see the glider with its nose down to allow easy access to the large internal space, which could carry two Bren carriers or a Tetrarch or Locust light tank.
