Goumier Machine Gun team, Cassino Front, 1944
Here we see a team of Moroccan Goumiers of the French Expeditionary Corps, part of General Clark's Fifth Army. This picture was probably taken early in 1944, when the French were fighting on the right wing of the Fifth Army, in the mountains to the north of Cassino.
