This page from Lt. D.W. Gay's Log Book covers his flying experiences from 24-26 September and the summary for September 1944
Operation 5 was an attack on the rail marshalling yards at Forli, and introduces a new fruit code - we met Apple and Lemon on the previous page, now we find 'Orange'.
Operation 6 was an attack on San Angelo, and was a 'Lemon'.
The summary shows that Gay flew on six sorties during his first month with the squadron, which involved 13 hours 15 minutes of flying time.
