Italian submarine Emo sinking, 10 November 1942

Here we see the Italian Marcello class submarine Emo on the surface after being badly damaged by the guns of the trawler HMS Lord Nuffield off the coast of North Africa on 10 November 1942. After the crew abandoned the submarine she was scuttled to prevent her falling into British hands.
