Coastguard Cutter firing towards U-boat
Here we see the guns on a US Coast Guard Cutter firing on a suspected U-boat that was attacking an Atlantic convoy. The Coast Guard operated a wide range of ships during the Second World War, and working out which type this might be from this picture isn't easy, although the Treasury class cutters did have a gun platform like this one.
