Churchill at Wesel, 1945
Here we see Winston Churchill and Field Marshal Montgomery watching the Rhine crossings of March 1945 from Wesel on the west bank of the Rhine. Churchill took great pleasure out of getting this close to the fighting, although his staff weren't as pleased!
