Churchill IV at Portomaggiore, April 1945
Here we see a Churchill Mk.IV passing through Portomaggiore, a town at the western end of Lake Comacchio, just to the north of Argenta. The British reached the town on 20 April 1945 as they broke through the Argenta Gap during Operation Buckland, on their way north into the Po Valley.
