Churchill meets the 79th Armoured Division
Here we see Churchill congratulating the men of the 79th Armoured Division in the aftermath of the crossing of the Rhine. This was the division that operated 'Hobart's Funnies', the many specialist armoured vehicles used from D-Day onwards. In this case they had just manned the Buffalo amphibious vehicles during the crossing of the river.
