Column of British Shermans at Conselice, April 1945
Here we see a column of British Sherman Tanks near the village of Conselice, in the centre of the British front during the advance west from the Senio towards Argenta and Bologna (Operation Buckland). These troops were taking part in the push west towards Bologna and the junction with the US 5th Army. Bologna fell on 21 April, by which time the British had taken Argenta on their right and were already advancing into the Po Plains.
