Boeing F3B-1 of VF-2B crashed on USS Langley (CV-1)
Here we see a Boeing F3B-1 from VF-2B that has crashed on USS Langley (CV-1) on 16 October 1928. Although the aircraft had come off the side of the deck, the arrestor cables have held, and are still connected to the tail hook. The front of the aircraft had caught on part of the below-deck structure of the Langley.
