Bypass over railway at Arsbeck, 1945

During the Allied advance into Germany the Germans destroyed many bridges. Here they had destroyed a bridge that crossed over the railway at Arsbeck, in the Rhineland (crossing from left-to-right). In response US Engineers have built a road that drops down into the cutting and then climbs up out of the opposite side.
