1934 Type Destroyer Z1 Leberecht Maass from right
Here we see a German Type 1934 Destroyer, probably Z1 Leberecht Maass (named after the German commander at the Battle of Heligobight in 1914, killed in the battle). The destroyer was sunk by an accidental German air attack on 22 February 1940, when she was hit by a bomb from a He-111 during an attempt to capture British fishing boats.
