20mm Guns on USS Washington (BB-56), 1942
Here we see a new arrangement of 20mm guns on the starboard side of the main deck of the North Carolina class battleship USS Washington (BB-56), seen at the New York Navy Yard in August 1942. The outmost gun (1) has been added and the gun shield extended (2) to turn a three gun battery into a four gun battery.
