USS Waller (DD-466) firing Hedgehog, 1959
Here we see the Fletcher class destroyer USS Waller (DD-466) firing its hedgehog anti-submarine weapon in the Atlantic in August 1959. At least of the Hedgehog rockets can be seen as can the smoth from the launcher close to the bridge. The Hedgehog was phased out of service fairly soon after this picture was taken, in favour of the ASROC system
