Stern view of USS Terry (DD-513), Mare Island, 1945
This stern view of the Fletcher class destroyer USS Terry (DD-513) was taken at Mare Island on 3 June 1945. From this angle we get a good view of the unusually wide fantail of the Fletcher class destroyers, which gave them much more space for anti-submarine weapons.
