USS Tennessee (BB-43) at Puget Sound, 1943
Here we see a stern view of the Tennessee class battleship USS Tennessee (BB-43) at Puget Sound on 8 May 1943, after the major refit that saw most of her superstructure replaced. On either side we can see four of the eight new 5in gun turrets and alongside the superstructure two of the radar arrays are seen, facing outwards.
