USS Tennessee (BB-43) in the Panama Canal, 1930s
Here we see the Tennessee class battleship USS Tennessee (BB-43) passing through the Panama canal at some point in the 1930s. This was clearly a formal ship's portrait judging by the amount of men who have come on deck for the occasion. In the background we can see one of the locks on the canal, with one lock full and the other empty.
