USS Suwannee (CVE-27) and USS Brooklyn (CL-40) during Operation Torch
Here we see the Sangamon class escort carrier USS Suwannee (CVE-27) and the Brooklyn class light cruiser USS Brooklyn (CL-40) at sea in November 1942 while heading towards North Africa to take part in Operation Torch. They were part of the fleet that crossed the Atlantic to take part in the operation.
