USS Stevens (DD-479) firing 21in torpedo, 1943
Here we see a 21in torpedo being fired by the Fletcher class destroyer USS Stevens (DD-479) at some point during 1943. The torpedo has only just exited from the tube, and is caught in mid air over the destroyer's decks.
