USS Spokane (CL-120) being commissioned, 17 May 1946

Here we some of the crew of the Atlanta class light cruiser USS Spokane (CL-120) saluting the national ensign during her commissioning ceremony, held at the New York Naval Yard on 17 May 1946. Her active career only lasted until 1950, but she spend much of those years in the Mediterranean.

Nicely organised, with the wartime service records separated out from the main text, so that the design history of the light cruisers flows nicely.
