Here we see the torpedo damage suffered by the Lexington class carrier USS Saratoga (CV-3) on 11 Jan 1942. She was hit by a torpedo fired by the Japanese submarine I-6 when she was about 420 miles to the south west of Pearl Harbor. This picture was taken at Pearl on 16 January 1942
