Here we see the Lexington class carrier USS Saratoga (CV-3) under repair at Tongatabu, Tonga, in September 1942 after she was hit by a torpedo from the Japanese submarine I-26 on 31 August. The list to port is deliberate to bring the damage on the starboard side out of the water.
