Damaged Hanger of USS Sangamon (CVE-26)
Here we see the caused inside the hanger by the kamikaze that hit the escort carrier USS Sangamon (CVE-26) on 4 May 1945. The carrier survived, but was so badly damaged that she was never fully repairs, and was scrapped soon after the end of the war.
