USS Pope (DD-225) at Algiers, 1922
Here we see the Clemson class destroyer USS Pope (DD-225) at Algiers in July 1922 on her way to join the Asiatic Fleet. Note the sailors working on the sun awning, which provided some shelter on the foredeck.
