USS Percival (DD-298) making a smokescreen
Here we see the Clemson class destroyer USS Percival (DD-298) steaming at high speed while laying a smokescreen, at some point in 1920-21. This must have been part of a larger exercise, as there is also smoke in front of her that must have come from another ship.
