USS Overton (APD-23) at Norfolk, 1943
Here we see the Clemson class destroyer HMS Overton (APD-23) at Norfolk Navy Yard on 19 September 1943. In this picture her extra boats are missing, so we get a good view of their hoists on rear deck, which could carry four transports, enough to take her 200 troops to shore.
