Bows of USS Oregon (BB-3)
Here we see the Indiana class battleship USS Oregon (BB-3), probably at San Francisco in 1915. By this point the elaborate scroll works on her bows have been removed and she is painted in a more warlike paint-scheme than the famous 'Great White Fleet' colours. Also note the drying laundry in front of the mast.
