Navigating Bridge, USS New Mexico (BB-40)
Here we see the navigation bridge on the New Mexico class battleship USS New Mexico (BB-40) on 18 June 1919. Note the covered map table, and the very simple steering control at the front. To the left is a row of voice tubes, and in the foreground two speed controls.
