USS McCormick (DD-223) at New York, 14 January 1944

This overhead view of the Clemson class destroyer USS McCormick (DD-223) at New York on 14 January 1944 gives a clear view of her wartime armament. Guns can be seen in front of the bridge, on both sides of the central deck house (either side of the funnels), in staggered positions just behind the torpedo tubes and on the rear deckhouse. The triple torpedo tubes can be see in staggered positions amidships. Finally there would appear to be several depth charge racks of different sizes around the stern.
