USS Mayo (DD-422) east of Nova Scotia, 1942
Here we see the Benson class destroyer USS Mayo (DD-422) off Nova Scotia on 25 March 1942. By this point she has already lost her no.3 gun and one of her torpedo tube mounts (both behind the second funnel), which have been replaced by more anti-aircraft guns - three in tubs for the torpedo tube mount and one on the space left by the gun.
