Here we see crewmen on the Casablanca class escort carrier USS Marcus Island (CVE-77) ducking as a kamikaze aircraft exploded overhead. Note part of the burning aircraft falling into the sea behind the carrier. This picture was taken in the Sulu Sea in the Philippines on 15 December 1944.
