USS Macdonough (DD-351) at Boston, 1935
Here we see the Farragut class destroyer USS Macdonough (DD-351) off the Boston Navy Yard on 14 June 1935, three months after she had been commissioned. This picture gives us a good view of her layot, with superfiring guns fore and aft and a fifth main gun just behind the rear funnel, two unequal funnels and two quadruple torpedo tubes mounted just back from the middle of the ship.
