Here we see some of the crew of the Lexington class carrier USS Lexington (CV-2) handling torpedoes on the flight deck at some point before the Second World War. From this angle we can see the small wooden planks that formed the surface of the flight deck, and also get an idea of the size of her main gun turrets.
