USS Leary (DD-158) and USS Shubrick (DD-268), New York, 1940
Here we see the Wickes class destroyer USS Leary (DD-158) and the Clemson class destroyer USS Shubrick (DD-268) at the New York Navy Yard on 3 September 1940. The Shubrick was about to be transfered to the Royal Navy, where she became HMS Ripley, while the Leary remained in US service, and was sunk by U-275 late in 1943.
