USS Kearsarge (CV-33) off Hawaii, 1966
Here we see the Essex class carrier USS Kearsarge (CV-33) off Hawaii on 5 July 1966. At the front of the flight deck is a single Grumman E-1B and thirteen Grumman S-2 anti-submarine warfare aircraft. Around the island are some Sikorsky SH-3 Sea King helicopters.
