Crewmen on USS Kalinin Bay (CVE-68) watching explosions on USS St Lo (CVE-63)
Here we see some of the crew of the Casablanca class escort carrier USS Kalinin Bay (CVE-68) watching explosions on her sister ship St Lo (CVE-63) during the battle of Samar. The St Lo was hit by a kamikaze attack which inflicted fatal damage on her.
