Sonar crew of USS Jouett (DD-396)
Here we see Crewmen Morten Herman and Oswald Pawekkobf 'watching the 'OC'' in one of the control rooms on the Somers class destroyer USS Jouett (DD-396) during an attack on a submarine on 9-10 May 1942. Quite what the 'OC' was isn't clear - the nearest I can find is OSC for Own Ships Course. There is a plotting table to their left with a paper map on it, so this may fit. Also note the shelf full of coffee cups in far left!
