USS Hull (DD-350) at Mare Island, May 1942
Here we see the Farragut class destroyer USS Hull (DD-350) taking on supplies at Mare Island on 29 May 1942. The supplies are piled up high around her aft funnel, including a large pile of sacks of potatoes, and on the anti-aircraft gun platform behind the funnel. This picture was taken towards the end of a period spent on convoy escort duty in the Pacific, and perhaps shows her resupplying after a long time at sea.
